Knowledge is Money
August 21st, 2009
This is the first comic in a long time… It also doubles as an entry into poorerthanyou.com’s “Better Together: HP Laptop Bundle Giveaway“. The main concept is that knowledge is “money”. If you educate yourself about the credit system and methods to get out of debt, you will be better off in the long run.

Of course, if you are a keen personal finance person, you might notice some of the personalities that are in the comic ;).
subtle. ;)
I agree with where you’re coming from, but I would caution against using only parts of what some financial planners suggest. For example, if you’re not going to get crazy-intense about paying off debt and investing immediately afterward, you better save a lot more than $1,000 in your emergency fund and continue contributing toward your retirement while repaying your debts. (To use the Dave Ramsey plan as an example.) So picking and choosing is good, but only if it ends up with a coherent financial plan, end-to-end. Which I know is what you mean, of course.
